Schedule

Everything (Except for reveals) opens and closes at 6 PM, GMT+1
Signups may open early if possible, but will always close at 6 PM GMT +1

Nominations: October 20 - October 31
Signups: November 2 - November 15
Assignments out by: November 18
Deadline: December 20
Works Revealed: December 24 2 PM GMT+1
Creators Revealed: January 1

Nominations

-You may nominate 1-5 characters or relationships from 6-10 canons, provided said canons meet the following requirement: Less than 100 works tagged 'art' on AO3.

Signups

-You may request 1-5 characters or relationships from 3-10 nominated canons. Offers are for 1-5 characters/relationships across 3-10 canons.

Assignments

-Your assignment is only guaranteed to match on one fandom and one character/ship.

-If you wish to discuss the state of your assignment in public areas, be vague. Do not reveal the fandom, character, or relationship, or anything that could de-anon the work during the anon period.

-Do not post your work in other places before reveals.

-Minimum requirements are: Clean lineart on unlined paper. Art should be created by you. Photoshops, manips, icons, etc, are not eligible. Art must be at least 500x500 pixels.

Defaulting

Please default in a timely manner, preferably before December 20th. Defaulting after December 20 will result in receiving a New Years Assignment to complete in time for next year's challenge.

I'm trying to figure out if it's a violation of the spirit of the thing to nominate Miraculous Ladybug. There's 90 ML works on AO3 tagged "Art" (or something more specific that comes up when I filter by what's tagged "Art"), but the key bit there is "on AO3"; on Tumblr I'm pretty sure I have personally reblogged a few dozen different Rose/Juleka fanarts, and Rose/Juleka is hilariously far from being an ML-fandom-popular ship. (There's about five hundred AO3 works thus tagged, and they're probably background, not focus, of at least four hundred fifty of those. Meanwhile the Adrien/Marinette tag has upward of fifteen thousand.)

Hi, and thank you for reaching out!

This year, we're going by Ao3 numbers. Given the difficulty of counting works on tumblr, we've elected to try this out and see if it sticks. It's possible that we'll work out ways to limit the scope in future years, such as going by Ao3 numbers in total without the art tag, but we want to see how this works out first.

So go ahead and nominate to your heart's desire :)

One of my fandoms has many works tagged art that are actually Artist AUs, the number goes down a lot if I filter for works with less than 100 words (so more likely to actually be art rather than fic). Can we count it?
